Better for Babies began while we were living abroad in Wales. I had access to some great products both in Britain and Europe, and it was my great pleasure to bring back to the US some of our very favorite imports. An outrageous climb in the exchange rate coupled with a love for organics led to a full line up of natural products for you and your entire family including our very own Little Beetle diaper line - products that are better for you, your baby, and the world we share.

I am a WAHMum to Gabriel, born in 2002, and Marcella, born in 2005. They are both our testers and our inspiration. I am blessed to be able to stay home at this time in my life not only to be with my kiddos but also so that I can care for my husband who has a degenerative neurological illness. My husband lends a hand when he can especially with graphics, photography, and of course product design. As a stay at home dad, he wears the hat of homeschool teacher to both children. In Fall 2008, Gabriel will be enrolled in Kolbe Academy's homeschool program.

In 2008, we became Better for Babies, Inc. From the beginning, we have worked long hours; and I have insisted on being a part of every aspect of the business from web design, shopping cart, shipping, advertising, accounting, and so on. But, as we have grown, I have been blessed to hire many great employees. Most of all, I have come to rely on Kayce Bailey who is now Vice President (Administration and Wholesale).

Kayce works out of her virtual home office 200 miles away. So, she stays in close touch with me throughout the day via her laptop and Palm Treo. Kayce brings with her a host of talents in management and multi-tasking, not to mention an unmatched fondness for organization. Moreover, she is an inspiration as a mother to three boys, Wheat, Lake, and River, all of whom she homeschools.

When you call Better for Babies, you will either get myself or Kayce. I think that is one of the things that continues to make us special. Our customers are important to us, and while we have grown over the years, we like to take the extra effort to personalize your purchase from Better for Babies.
